Hotels oder Hostels in London zu finden ist eine Sache die ich bis September einfach nicht hingekriegt habe. Aber nun ist die Suche endlich zu Ende und bei meinem nächsten London-Trip werde ich auf alle Fälle wieder im Kip-Hotel übernachten. Nicht nur weil ich das Konzept einfach so cool finde, sondern auch weil ich mich vom ersten Moment an richtig wohl gefühlt habe. Ganz nach dem Motto #getsomekip ist es vielleicht das coolste Hostel/Hotel Londons. 
Die Lage
Es gibt auf alle Fälle zentralere Hotels, aber dafür muss man in London auch viel zahlen, denn Quadratmeter sind verdammt teuer in dieser Stadt. Das Kip Hotel liegt gleich ums Eck von der Overground-Station Hackney Central, in 20 Minuten seid ihr aber schnell in der Stadt und auch in der Umgebung vom Hotel gibt es jede Menge Lokale und Geschäfte, zum Beispiel das Oslo Hackney, in dem ihr neben richtig leckeren Burgern auch sehr gutes veganes Essen bekommt. Gleich ums Eck ist auch ein Marks and Spencer und alle möglichen Fastfood-Ketten wenn es schnell gehen soll.
Das Frühstück
Ein kleiner Abstrich: es gibt in dem Hotel/Hostel kein Frühstück. Ihr könnt euch Kaffee und Tee bei der Rezeption holen. Im gleichen Haus im Erdgeschoss gibt es einen Costa Coffeeshop, wo ihr nett frühstücken könnt oder ihr fahrt einfach in die Stadt und probiert ein paar der coolen Londoner Lokale aus!
Das Zimmer
Ich habe ja schon erwähnt, dass ich das Konzept vom Kip Hotel richtig cool finde. Ihr könnt hier nämlich neben kleinen Einzelzimmer (Kip for one) und großen Einzelzimmer (Kip SuperSingle), Doppelzimmer (Kip double und Kip Buddy) auch Dorms (Kip for friends), Familienzimmer (Kip for family) oder mein persönlicher Favorit, den ich mir vielleicht mal leiste: Kip Penthouse, bei dem ihr ein richtiges Appartment mit Küche habt. Ich hatte das Kip for one gebucht und eines vorweg: wer Platzangst hat ist ist mit dieser Zimmerkategorie fehl am Platz. Ein 90cm-Bett, ein kleiner Schreibtisch, ein Fernseher und das wars auch schon. Alles in stylischen Grau-Schwarz-Weiss und trotz dem Mini-Zimmer richtig gemütlich und perfekt für Städtetrips, in denen man sowieso nur zum Schlafen im Hotel ist. Das Badezimmer und Klo war am Gang, man teilt es sich mit 5 oder 6 anderen Zimmern. Alles war wirklich sehr sauber und meiner Meinung nach ist das das wichtigste.
Das Hotel
Hier arbeiten jede Menge junge Leute, mit denen ich mich sofort auf Anhieb verstand und die mir den ein oder anderen Tipp für die Gegend gegeben haben. Außerdem hat es regelrecht „Victoria“ geschrien, weil alles in meinem Stil eingerichtet ist und ich mich gar nicht anders als wohlfühlen konnte. Zudem bietet das Kip wirklich für jeden etwas, egal ob ihr alleine, zu zweit, mit eurer ganzen Familie oder mit euren Mädls einen London-Urlaub plant.

Finding the perfect hotel or hostel in London is a challenge and I really struggled with it. But now I can stop searching, because I found my favorite hotel in London and will definitely check-in again my next trip in London. I’m talking about the Kip-Hotel in Hackney Central, where I felt comfortable and welcome from the first second. True to their slogan #getsomekip, this is maybe the coolest and hippest hotel/hotel in London.
Location
Their are thousands of hotels which are located more central, but for those you have to pay much more, because square meters are expensive as fuck in London. The Kip Hotel is located at the overground station Hackney Central, from here you are in the city center in about 20 minutes. In the neighboorhood are some really cool places to go, for example the Oslo Hackney, where you get really good burgers and delicous vegan food. And of course there is a Marks and Spencer and a branch from every fast food chain you can imagine.
Breakfast
You can’t have everything: you can’t book breakfast at the Kip Hotel. But you get tea and coffee at the reception. In the same hous is also a Costa Coffeeshop, where you can order breakfast or you try some of the amazing breakfast spots in London and start exploring!
The room
I already mentioned, that the Kip Hotel maybe is the coolest hotel/hostel in London – although because there’s the perfect room for everyone out there. You can book small single rooms (Kip for one), bigger single rooms (Kip SuperSingle), doublerooms (Kip double or Kip Buddy), familyrooms (Kip for family), dorms (Kip for friends) or my personal favorite: Kip Penthouse, where you have a whole appartment with kitchen and everything you need. I booked a Kip for one and first things first: if you have claustrophobia, this category is maybe not the right thing for you. A 90cm bed, a little desk, a TV and that’s it. Everything in black-grey and white and although it’s really tiny, I felt cozy and it’s perfect for a citytrip, where you’re only for sleeping in the hotel. The bathroom and toilet are outside at the hallway and you share it with 5 or 6 other rooms. Everything was really clean, and in my opinion that’s the most important thing.
The hotel
The staff is really young and cool and had a lot of great tips for me to do in the neighboorhood. The whole hotel begs for me, I really love the interior and style – so I felt comfortable from the first second. Plus: it offers something for everyone, no matter if you’re exploring London alone, two by two, with your whole family or for a weekend-getaway with your friends.
